Lions Club Breakfast Benefit

August 23, 2012
Dingmans Ferry Lions Club to host All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast on September 8, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Delaware Township Municipal Building to beneft Clarence "Tiny" Waldron.  Lion Tiny Waldron had a stroke about 6 months ago and is currently in a rehabilitation hospital in New Jersey.  The proceeds of this breakfast will help defray the ongoing expenses of his medical care.  Tiny has been a member of our club for over 20 years and has volunteered countless hours for our community.  Tiny's two daughters, Stacey & Amanda, have also been members of the club for many years.  Click here for details.

Countywide Recycling Program Ceases

August 15, 2012

The Pike County Commissioners, after considerable discussion, have reluctantly made a decision to cease operating the countywide recycling program effective October 1, 2012.  All containers at recycling sites throughout the County will be removed by that date.

The County will be installing signs at the sites informing all residents of the closing date. 

Dingmans Bridge Maintenance

August 8, 2012 
The Dingmans Bridge has designed a special maintenance schedule for 2012, due to the continued closure of Route 209.  Details follow:

  • Fall maintenance work will be performed during the week of September 10-14, 2012.
  • On Monday and Friday of maintenance week, the bridge will have alternating lanes of traffic between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday the bridge will be closed between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
  • At all other times that week, the bridge will be open as usual.

 The Delaware Township Board of Auditors will hold regularly scheduled meetings on the third (3rd) Saturday of each month at 10:30 a.m. beginning February 21, 2015. These meetings will be held at the Delaware Township Municipal Building(s), located at 116 Wilson Hill Road, Dingmans Ferry, PA 18328.
