After the presentation, questions will be welcomed. No debate will be allowed.

Public Hearing to Adopt Short Term Rental Ordinance

NOTICE OF DELAWARE TOWNSHIP PUBLIC HEARING TO ADOPT SHORT TERM RENTAL ORDINANCE
PLEASE BE ADVISED that the Delaware Township Board of Supervisors will hold a Public Hearing to adopt Ordinance No. 802 on the 23rd day of February 2022, at 7:15 p.m., at the Delaware Township Municipal Building located at 116 Wilson Hill Road, Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania 18328. The purpose of the hearing is to adopt an ordinance establishing the regulation of short-term rentals, transient use of residential property in the Township.
Ordinance No. 802 can be reviewed in its entirety at the Delaware Township Municipal Office located at 116 Wilson Hill Road, Dingmans Ferry, PA 18328 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Zoning Hearing Board Public Hearing - Independence Drive Associates, LP
Please take notice that the Delaware Township Zoning Hearing Board will conduct a public hearing to consider an application for a variance for a commercial building in the Route 739 subdivision, Commercial Zone. The applicant is requesting relief from Section 110.14 of the Delaware Township Zoning Ordinance pertaining to allowable parking spaces per square foot of retail space. Applicant’s request concerns proposed 45 parking spaces or one (1) parking space per 233 square feet as being more than adequate for the existing hardware store use instead of one (1) parking space per 100 square feet of retail space.
The property description is Lot 10, Section 2, Tax map no. 136.00-02-43. The Owner is Independence Drive Associates, L.P.

Deputy Coordinator of Emergency Management

DEPUTY COORDINATOR OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
Delaware Township is seeking a volunteer to serve as the appointed Deputy Coordinator of Emergency Management. The deputy coordinator serves under the Emergency Management Coordinator and assists as needed in all phases of the Township's emergency management plan – mitigation, preparation, response and recovery. Both administrative and operational field work are required as well as completing a state mandated online training curriculum to become certified. A valid Pa. Drivers license and background check are required No experience is required but any background in planning or emergency services is a plus and will be considered. NOTICE is hereby given that the Delaware Township Board of Supervisors will accept letters of interest for vacancies on the Planning Commission, the Recreation Committee, and the Building Hearing Board. The Planning Commission meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m.; the Recreation Committee meets on the 2nd Monday of every month at 6:00p.m.; the Building Hearing Board meet on an as needed basis. These positions are volunteer, and appointment will become effective immediately. Residency in Delaware Township is required.
