Pike County Focus Committee

A Pike County Focus Committee has recently been established to help create better emergency/disaster response and communications between utilities and all levels of government. Members currently include Township and County leaders along with First Energy Corp. At the first meeting held on January 31, 2013, Met-Ed presented “Strong Response Before, During and After Hurricane Sandy” which reviewed the Met-Ed system, Planning and Preparation in Advance of Hurricane Sandy, Damage Assessment During and After Hurricane Sandy, Service Restoration Priorities, Met-Ed Customer Service Restoration Times, Mobilization of Met-Ed Workers, and Communications Outreach. Delaware Township residents may be interested to know what the service restoration process is and how damaging Hurricane Sandy was to our area as referenced below:
