PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that Pennsylvania American Water Company (PAWC) has prepared an Act 537 Plan Update for the Wild Acres Subdivision service area in Delaware Township, Pike County. This plan is for the sole purpose of addressing the PADEP Act 537 requirements for the proposed upgrades to the wastewater disposal system currently servicing Wild Acres Subdivisions 19 through 22 with an approximate location of 110 South Court, Dingmans Ferry, Delaware Township, Pike County, Pennsylvania. The proposed wastewater facility will be a multi-residential community on-lot disposal system located within 60-acres of PAWC’s existing 140-acre parcel capable of servicing up to 80 residential lots located in the Wild Acres Development Subdivisions 19-21. The proposed Wild Acres wastewater facility upgrades involve the use of an on-lot disposal system containing daily flows greater than 10,000 gallons per day; thus, public notification is required under the PADEP Sewage Facilities Plan Update. Upon publication of this notice, a 30-day review and comment period is in effect. Anyone wishing to review and/or comment may do so during this 30-day period. Anyone requesting a hard copy of the Act 537 Component 2 Plan Update should request it through Delaware Township. The Act 537 Plan Update can be reviewed at the Delaware Township building located at Delaware Twp., 116 Wilson Hill Road, Dingmans Ferry, PA 18325 (570-828-2347). A Public Meeting for the Delaware Township Planning Commission will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. at the Delaware Township Municipal Building, 116 Wilson Hill Road, Dingmans Ferry, PA 18328; the meeting will consist of review and comment on policy recommendations of the draft 2024 Delaware Township Comprehensive Plan Update.

The draft 2024 Delaware Township Comprehensive Plan Update can be reviewed in its entirety at the Delaware Township Municipal Office located at 116 Wilson Hill Road, Dingmans Ferry, PA 18328 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. or on the Delaware Township website: www.delawaretownshippa.gov.

The Delaware Township Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 7:15 p.m. in the Delaware Township Municipal Building located at 116 Wilson Hill Road, Dingmans Ferry, PA to consider adoption of Resolution No. 2023-07 approving the request of Five Star Food & Fuel, LLC to transfer liquor license.  The purpose of the hearing is to consider an inter-municipal transfer of liquor license R-21128 into Delaware Township to Five Star Food & Fuel , LLC at the proposed location of 1816 Route 739, Dingmans Ferry, PA pursuant to 47 P.S. § 4-461(b.3).

The Delaware Township Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing to adopt Ordinances 401C, 401D, and 401E on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 7:15 p.m. in the Delaware Township Municipal Building located at 116 Wilson Hill Road, Dingmans Ferry, PA.  The purpose of the hearing is to adopt Ordinances 401C, 401D, and 401E imposing a 10-ton weight restriction on vehicles operated upon, Myck Road, Johnny Bee/Mary Stuart Roads, and Chestnut Ridge Road; providing for the issuance of permits for movement of vehicles of weights in excess for restrictions; and prescribing penalties for violations.

NOTICE OF DELAWARE TOWNSHIP PUBLIC HEARING TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 401F IMPOSING RESTRICTIONS ON THE LENGTH OF ANY TRUCK AND TRAILER OPERATED UPON A CERTAIN TOWNSHIP ROAD, CHILDS PARK ROAD; PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS FOR MOVEMENT OF VEHICLES OF TRUCK AND TRAILER LENGTH IN EXCESS OF 24’; AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS.

The Delaware Township Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing to adopt Ordinance 401F on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 7:15 p.m. in the Delaware Township Municipal Building located at 116 Wilson Hill Road, Dingmans Ferry, PA.  The purpose of the hearing is to adopt Ordinance 401F imposing a length restriction on any truck and trailer operated on Childs Park Road; providing for the issuance of permits for movement of vehicles of truck and trailer length in excess of 24’; and prescribing penalties for violations.
